My New Son Bradley

It’s been a long 36 hours but it’s finally over and we’ve welcomed a new member to our family, Bradley Paul Willson. After 12 hours of labor mom did amazing and he arrived healthy, happy, and weighing in at 8 lbs 11.5 oz, a big baby boy ahe?

Even though we were scheduled to deliver yesterday he decided to join the party 4 hours early and come out on his own. We were working on about 2 hours of sleep and went to the hospital at 3 am.

Abby came to see her brother last night and was quite smitten with him, at least for a few moments. She still hasn’t quite mastered saying his name yet but she’s saying “baby brother” really well.

It was really cute seeing her hold him for a few moments, she actually did really well. It was one of those moments I’ll cherish for years … the first meeting of brother and sister. I don’t think she really gets it yet but she’ll quickly figure it out when mom and baby come home.

All in all it was an amazing experience and mom did an awesome job. Bradley has a head full of hair (as you can see from the photos) and loves to look around at whoever is holding him. It’s certainly quite different than Abby who arrived 4.5 weeks early and slept for what seems like months rarely opening her eyes.

I wanted to share a few photos with everyone and thank you all for your positive thoughts and words yesterday. It was really nice and helped to get through the stressful moments when I had a chance to take a break to read what everyone said.
