Weary Wednesday Weigh-In
It’s been a crazy week of lost sleep, frazzled nerves, a stressful work environment, and a general feeling of little to no control over anything during my day. My workouts however have been the one huge stress relief each and every day. It’s weird to say but I longingly look forward to the sweat and exhaustion that follows my workout and I always make the time for them, regardless of how painful the rest of the day may have been.
Even amongst all of this noise and the blur of the week I took the time to perform my weekly weigh-in ritual this morning. I was rewarded with … drum roll please … cue drum roll:
Previous Weight — 295.2 lbs
Current Weight — 294.0 lbs
Change In Weight — -1.2 lbs
It could have been better and it certainly could have been worse, especially the way I ate this past weekend.
I’m hoping to rise out of this muck of a week soon. I have some family from Michigan coming into town this weekend to see the baby, that’ll help some. I’m also hoping to have some positive personal news to share in the coming week, we’ll see how it goes though. I don’t want to put the cart before the horse.
My goals for this week are:
- Eat on track, which will be difficult with the family coming into town but I know I can do it.
- Workout according to my usual schedule and maybe even rope the family into participating.
- De-stress and try to take some time to meditate a bit. I’ve never tried but have wanted to give it a shot. I just need to block out some quiet time to make it happen.
Got any other tips on how to de-stress?

Meditation is a GREAT was to de-stress. It’s been awhile since I’ve done it, I should really get back into it.
Exercise is currently my favorite way to de-stress. Especially walks along the Mississippi River.

A nice long, hot bath always has a way of helping me de-stress. Music does too. Congratulations on the loss! Here’s to a great de-stressed week!

I’m not very good at stress relief, but I do find that having some alone time and getting lots of sleep is the only thing that works – which is nearly impossible to do when you have kids like we do!

“De”-stress?!?!?!? Did u let everyone know your MOM is coming to visit!! LOL (just kidding Mom) plus your super cool rockin’ sister-in-law will be there to keep you “de”stressed and on your workouts. Can’t wait to see you tomorrow!! I am really looking forward to cooking some great meals with you and working out. I would love to make a trip to Whole Foods too.
