More Coming Soon

The past few months of this year (yes, that’s most of 2012) have been pretty challenging for me. I’ve been doing a lot of professional soul searching and have had a few fitness hiccups during that time but I’ve been pretty quiet here on my blog, for that I apologize.

That doesn’t mean that I haven’t been itching to post nor does it mean that I’m giving up blogging … I have & I’m not!

I’ve honestly been swamped with the whole finding my professional mojo thing and as is typical, the first thing to suffer was blog posting and then a close second was fitness. While I haven’t negated my losses for the year I’m sure I’m close … more on that soon.

One of my flaws (or less than ideal traits) as I’ve mentioned before is that I dig into most things 100%. There’s no kinda sorta toying with something for me, it’s usually an all in approach. Yes, I’m sure you’d love to play poker with me wouldn’t you?

Along with that all or nothing approach is the difficulty I have accepting mediocre situations that aren’t showing a perceivable light at the end of the metaphorical tunnel. With fitness we know we can usually control the switch for that distant light and when we’re focused we can usually see it, though sometimes faint, but we can see it and charge toward it. With almost all other things however, like career, that light isn’t necessarily in our hands. We can work to impact the switch but turning it on and off isn’t always in our hands.

Anyhow, I’ve always tried to keep a very clean separation of my blog life from my professional life and this is no exception. One thing I will say though is that there’s a double switch on the wall now, one of which is now in my control … and I’m reaching to turn it on.

Sorry, there were way too many household switch metaphors there. Look for more of me here soon :)
